Kennedy Space Center, Florida December 2016 – Recently, NASA’s Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) was at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Days before the launch there was a very special viewing by NASA guests.

WTE KISS III Employee, Tai Victor, was part of the team that made this event possible, she said, “It was an honor to be part of the team that coordinated the effort to allow for this special viewing.”

The CYGNSS mission includes eight small satellites that will be deployed separately around earth to provide data which will allow for more accurate and timely weather prediction. From the ground one could see the Orbital ATK Pegasus XL rocket that was air-launched from Orbital ATK’s modified L-1011 aircraft, the “Stargazer.” The Orbital ATK pilots were on-hand to speak to the NASA guests and answer all questions. It was a phenomenal experience!
